BaseCamp
BaseCamp is designed to prepare intermediate level youth climbers for the 2010 USA Climbing Divisional Competition. A-Team coaches Preston and Trey will lead BaseCamp. Curriculum will include both physical and mental preparation for the competition environment. Competitive youth on climbing teams other than ours are welcome to join the A-Team in this exciting training adventure.
To be eligible, climbers must regularly climb on top rope at the 5.10a level or above. Top rope on-sight capability must be at least 5.9. An invitation to Divisionals is NOT a requirement to attend BaseCamp. Climbers in the Youth A and B categories must be competent at both Lead Climbing and Lead Belaying. Climbers in Youth C must be competent at Top Rope Belaying. This camp is not appropriate for Youth D climbers. BaseCampers must not only be prepared to spend a week in the woods, but must be enthusiastic about it! Climbers are expected to have their own climbing gear, including helmet.
We'll camp and climb at Foster Falls, near Tracy City, Tennessee. Our "rest" days will include caving and white water rafting, so get ready for a non-stop adrenaline rush!
BaseCamp Program Fee: $500
2010 BaseCamp: June 1 through June 8
This fee includes all food, campsite fees, rafting fees, cave guide fee, and travel expenses.

Advanced BaseCamp is designed for intermediate to advanced competitive climbers in the Youth B, Youth A, and Junior categories ONLY. Advanced BaseCampers will spend 10 days training on the trail prior to Nationals. While an invitation to Nationals is NOT required to attend this camp, please be aware that the camp is designed with Nationals training in mind.
Again, competitive climbers from teams other than ours are welcome to join the A-Team. We'll spend our days and nights climbing and bouldering at the "Wild and Scenic" Obed River in Wartburg, Tennessee. Rest days will include caving, whitewater rafting, and celebrating Independence Day with fireworks in Knoxville!
